Meet the Host:
Your host for these singles events is Lou Lafond. He grew up in a small town in Rhode Island and follows the Patriots and the Red Sox. He moved to Florida in 1986 to pursue a career in IT. During this career, Lou spent some time on the road; traveling around the country and has enjoyed many cities & cuisines.
During his IT career, Lou pursued other interests. He organized and hosted dinners, speed dating, holiday parties and aviation related events including air shows.
Lou also achieved his commercial pilot’s license and enjoyed producing and directing a number of aviation events, tour stops, aviation photo shoots and air shows. Other certifications include Range Safety Officer (RSO), Certified NRA Instructor and Notary.
After moving to Pinellas County, Lou continued to organize and host dinners, speed dating events and comedy shows.
During one of Lou’s dinner events, a suggestion was made to produce events for just singles to meet and get to know each other in a social environment. He thought it was a good idea and resurrected a previous endeavor called Swift Match that was solely for speed dating. The events for singles became social gatherings of single adults and the name didn’t apply. So, the name was changed to Intentional Interactions to better describe what is being done at these events.
So, for more than 20 years, Lou has professionally organized, produced, curated and successfully crafted hundreds of events over food, baseball games, comedy shows, dueling pianos, trivia nights, concerts and special occasions like “The Big Game” Parties & Holiday Parties throughout Volusia, Seminole and Pinellas counties. He would not be performing these tasks if he didn’t fully enjoy the challenges and rewards that come with these events.
Lou is honored to serve as your host and consider many guests friends. It is Lou’s goal to take Intentional Interactions to the next level.
